What we offer
Tinnitus Diagnosis
Our Doctors of Audiology take the time to thoroughly understand your experience with tinnitus along with your previous medical history. Certain medical conditions are strongly correlated with tinnitus, therefore gaining insight into your overall health is important in conjunction with a comprehensive hearing evaluation.
Holistic Tinnitus Care
While there is no cure for tinnitus, there are effective approaches to treat the symptoms. Our primary goal is to minimize the emotional impact of tinnitus by decreasing distress, calming the emotional brain, and improving sleep habits. Treating tinnitus is not a one size fits all, and we value the importance of a customized approach to your individual experience.
Comprehensive Tinnitus Therapy
Our Doctors of Audiology are skillfully trained in the latest tinnitus relief therapies that can be personalized for your tinnitus needs. At this time, hearing aids are one of the most effective options for tinnitus management as they will improve your hearing and reduce your perception of tinnitus. However, there are many other options that may be appropriate and beneficial for you.
Misophonia Treatment
Misophonia is a neurophysiologic condition in which soft and repetitive auditory sounds elicit a strong and unwanted emotional response. While there is no cure for misophonia, there are ways to manage the emotional impact of this condition. Our Doctors of Audiology will outline a multidisciplinary treatment plan that is customized specifically to your needs that may include sound therapy and/or accommodations for the school or workplace.
Hyperacusis Treatment
Hyperacusis is a disorder in loudness perception causing daily sounds to seem uncomfortably loud. This can have a significant impact on many aspects of a person’s life — disrupting their career, social life, and peace of mind. Our Doctors of Audiology provide state-of-the-art evaluation and treatment for patients with hyperacusis and will recommend various sound enrichment options based on test results.
Hearing Protection
Did you know that one of the most common causes of tinnitus is prolonged exposure to noise? We specialize in hearing protection for all of your occupational and recreational needs, with different levels of attenuation and protection available.
Hearing Aids & Treatment
Our clinicians are highly trained on the latest technology and will work with you to find the best solution to fit your lifestyle. We offer solutions and technology from a wide range of top-tier brands, enabling our providers to find the perfect device and fit for each patient.
Insurance Counseling
Navigating your insurance benefits is no easy task. Our team will verify your benefits and take the time to explain your coverage to you, so you are aware of all associated costs. Relax in the knowledge that we work with most major insurance companies — and let us handle the hard stuff.

06/28/2024The team at the Hearing and Tinnitus Center is fantastic! Starting with the front desk. They're caring and attentive to the patient. I started going to the center when I was first diagnosed wit Tinnitus about 3yrs ago. I've seen Dr. Erica Richman who's been nothing but wonderful. She's compassionate and understanding plus extremely knowledgeable which is refreshing. She did not tell me as I had been told previously by an ENT doc that I just had to learn how to live with Tinnitus. We came up with a game plan and we executed it and I've been extremely happy with the outcome. I can't recommend enough the team at the Hearing and Tinnitus Center. -

Frequently asked questions
Can you bill wax removal to my insurance?
Audiologists and Hearing Care providers cannot bill insurance for cerumen (wax) removal, however we are trained and experienced in performing these services. We bill a nominal office visit fee for these services.
How do I properly insert my hearing protection devices?
Some hearing protection devices are marked red (right) and blue (left). If they are not marked, they are not side specific.
For custom products: Slide the thinner side into your ear canal and twist the plug until it fits comfortably in the ear. Pull up from the top of the ear, to straighten the ear canal, as you push the ear mold into the ear.
For non-custom products: Slide the thinner side into your ear canal and pull up from the top of the ear, to straighten the ear canal, as you push the ear plug into the ear. If you are using a foam plug, tightly squeeze and roll it before putting in the ear canal.
How is custom hearing protection different from non-custom hearing protection?
Custom hearing protection is modeled after an impression taken of the ear. This will provide the best and most comfortable fit in the ear, which will eliminate ear pain or soreness that can occur with non-custom products. Custom hearing protection also provides a tight seal in the ear that prevents the unwanted high-level noise to leak into the ear.
